Progressive metal>djent. "Djent" bands are too bland and are creatively limited in what they can do. Most of them try to sound like Meshuggah except they aren't as good. Periphery are more prog metal than "djent".

BTBAM are prog metal and they incorporate polyrhythms into other forms of metal. You end with much more interesting song structure and progression then "djent" bands.
