I suggest:

1.Zero no Tsukaima - 4 seasons, romance/couples where the main guy tries to go back to his world but gets caught between fulfilling that ideal or staying with his love.
2.Elfen Lied - Lots of blood and a bit of romance.
3.DanganRonpa - Absolutely must see even though if isnt exactly what you want, but it isnt far away.
4.One Piece?
5.Oda Nobuna no Yanbou - A guy goes from the current era to the era of feudal japan. He meets a princess and some more girls. With his knowledge of the history of the country, he manages to save Japan and get the princess to fall in love with him.
6.Rurouni Kenshin - A samurai who survived a great war but now lives on an era where swords are illegal. He tries to get rid of his belic personality while enemies from the past try to fight him and awaken his belic side. A bit of romance, on fillers.
7.Maken-ki (a bit boring IMO but fills your needs)
8.Inuyasha

1,2,5,6,8 will definitely fill your needs (I hope)

Zero no Tsukaima - i don't really like it. because the main girl character is to fake.

Stat with Oda nobuna if you prefer few episodes.
Or
Start with Inuyasha or Rurouni Kenshin if you dont mind episode number IMO
