Goddamn it Shoujo!

I don't know if anyone else on this site reads shoujo other than me, but if you're out there, and you know the feel of getting pissed off and happy within 3 minutes of each other than reveal yourselves!

Shoujo is like a dirty pleasure for me. I hate half the shoujo characters when they're introduced and so many of them are based on the exact same thing. But I can't help but read it. Anyone else having a crisis like me?

Honestly I'd read shoujou a lot more if the art was worth a damn. Sooo much of that genre is noob pencil sketches.

Yeah it's filled with some really terrible art styles, but there are very few times I'll stomach below par drawings for the sake of the story. Though there are some where I actually really like the art style, namely Tonari no Kaibutsu and Kaichou wa Maid-sama.
