What do you think about Python?
I wanted to start this language because its is easy to learn and its uses are branched of into different languages like c++ or Java.

Python is a nice and quick way to get into programming.
I started in c#, then expiremented with sdk's and sources in vb.net and javascript. Unfortunately I tried to do learn all of these at the same time and now im in a choking point between js and html.
It's always good to start small and work your way into general programming and software development or the big boi stuff such as game engines and other cool tools... However, if you want to program to earn money; visual studio, xcode, and actionscript are the most common ways in creating apps.

Python is easy in my opinion. So go ahead and learn.
Do it, I love python for the fact that is simple and quick, good for prototyping stuff. It is also based off of C so it will make going for C++ and C# easier later. You can also go to codecademy.com to learn, their tutorials are very helpful. Just remember no matter how much you get pissed of and frustrated always keep trying shit, no matter how stupid you think it may seem. Oh and always check your whitespace

.Python is a great place to start because it can do pretty much anything and follows basic syntax. The only bad thing about starting with it is that you don't get much of a feel for object oriented programming which is a big part of things.
