What do you think about Python?

Well thank you I am also starting on visual basic my senior year in high school I and doing python on the side After i am done and have a good understanding of those 2 i will prob start c++ also I am looking to go to college for computer science So is this ok to start learning,

Do it, I love python for the fact that is simple and quick, good for prototyping stuff. It is also based off of C so it will make going for C++ and C# easier later. You can also go to codecademy.com to learn, their tutorials are very helpful. Just remember no matter how much you get pissed of and frustrated always keep trying shit, no matter how stupid you think it may seem. Oh and always check your whitespace

Yeah codecademy is great, a little slow but great. I start with python as well. Currently I am moving on to html and c languages, maybe some java. The great thing is that after learning a solid amount of python, I feel comfortable looking at other codes and dissecting them. If you do decide to go with python, let me know if you need any help. Most coding is learnt by doing .

Python is a great place to start because it can do pretty much anything and follows basic syntax. The only bad thing about starting with it is that you don't get much of a feel for object oriented programming which is a big part of things.
