I've been playing CrossFire since around 2010 or 2011 on and off until this day, it's nostalgia that I can't let go. I also used to make addons for Garry's Mod, one even reached over 400k+ subs on Steam Workshop. Now I want to mix my love for both games and import plenty of CrossFire weapon and character models into Garry's Mod and SFM.
This was just what I needed. I'm new to Blender, but I'll learn it and do what I can to achieve what I said previously. My Garry's Mod work was mostly recompiling with different lua code to convert models into playermodels so I'm pretty much entering uncharted waters here.
Now onto my main point, I saw you said you'll release a Soon™ tutorial on how to do texture work for the imported CrossFire models. I did watch your YouTube channel (great work btw) and the why you don't make videos anymore, but I see that's changed a bit.
I was wondering if there's any chance you could do that tutorial? I understand if it's too much work to do. But if I could get in touch with you on Discrd so maybe instead of making a resource and time heavy video tutorial you could explain things to me, I'd really appreciate it.
My country entered a 3rd lockdown recently, I've mostly been sitting on my ass playing video games and I wanna start doing something meaningful like working with models and textures, and release mods I make on Steam for people to enjoy. I want to expand my skillset and enter this area, I always thought it was fun and interesting, but I was always too lazy/unmotivated to start it.
Thank you.
