Solar was the cheapest source of power in 2016, and it will further look to undermine the usage of fossil fuel power in 2017
The day that renewable energy will become the prime factor of powering machinery is the day where the costs of fossil fuel exceeds the costs of renewable energy, and 2016 results done by the World Economic Forum (WEF) have shown that renewable energy costed cheaper or equal to fossil fuels for the year in more than 30 countries. As the prices of renewable energy, such as solar and wind, continue to fall, two-thirds of the world's nations will reach a point known as the grid parity. As stated by Michael Drexler, a leader in infrastructure and development investing at WEF, renewable energy is not only becoming a commercially preferred choice, but a solid, long term investment that is bound to save money for business owners. With all this good in hand, there are some bad. Global investment in renewable energy isn't enough to combat the overall effects of climate change, mainly due to political barriers. Many countries are do not have standardized contracts for renewable energy, and there are disparities and uncertainties regarding regulation. As long as these barriers remain, the road to making renewable energy a standard across all countries will remain barred by obstacles.

Police: Suicidal bombers kill at least 28 people in Baghdad's central
A suicidal attack on a busy commercial street in Baghdad got at least 28 people dead and many others wounded according to the local authorities. Gen. Saad Maan, a spokesman for Baghdad's Operation Command, has claimed that two suicidal bombers carried out the attack at the centre of the city in the past Saturday. At least 53 locals were hurt due to the "twin explosions" - as the city's habitants call it - which happened on the al Sinag street, a historic thoroughfare located in Baghdad's centre. However, no claims of responsibility have been made for the attack so far.

Breathalyzer That Can Diagnose 17 Different Diseases
With something as far fetched as the title suggests, one may think that such a device would be featured in a Hollywood Sci-Fi flick but it is now a reality and is currently being tested before being released. The idea behind the device is very simple and straight forward. By using breath samples, the device can detect up to 17 different diseases. Not only is this extremely useful for doctors, it can also save many lives by detecting diseases before they spread and get worse. Some diseases that this breathalyzer can detect include: two types of Parkinson's disease, Crohn's, multiple sclerosis, kidney disease, and cancers including lung cancer, colorectal cancer, prostate cancer, and ovarian cancer. Currently it is reported that the breathalyzer has been able to correct diagnose a disease around 86% of the time. Although 86% is a very solid number, it is not perfect enough for it to be used in the public. Diagnosing diseases can be a very painful and painstaking process but with this breathalyzer, things will get much more easier. Besides testing and publicly released information, there hasn't been many details behind the actual device itself.

Microsoft might add ‘game mode’ to Windows 10 for maximum gaming performance
There is a chance that Windows 10 will be getting much better. According to a report from UberGizmo citing Twitter user “h0x0d”, who discovered a new dll called “gamemode.dll” in Windows 10’s latest developer build.
It appears that this feature permits Windows 10 to adjust GPU and CPU resources when running a game to provide more power for the game running instead of wasting it on background applications.
“.@h0x0d 14997 has a new dll "gamemode.dll", so it looks like Game Mode is a thing “ --WalkingCat (@h0x0d) December 28, 2016
This move makes PCs able to act similar to consoles, saving up most of the computational firepower of the machine to run games in the best way possible. This “game mode” indicates that Microsoft is being serious when it comes to gaming on Windows 10. Microsoft already has put efforts in 2016 to blur the line between Xbox and PCs by running Windows on Xbox One and allowing games cross-purchasing from Xbox One to PC, and it looks like this sort of integration will keep going in 2017.
Microsoft hasn’t confirmed the availability of the new “game mode” yet, but it is possible that we see it included in the Windows 10 Creators Updated scheduled for early 2017.

Mariah Carey's disaster to end the new year
To start off the New Year Mariah Carey was set to perform before the ball dropped. There were immense technical difficulties basically ruining this performance for her and the audience. Mariah, like most other famous pop artists, was lip syncing her songs and a few lines from her songs were cut out from the recordings. With that happening she appeared to forget song lyrics and not be able to reach high notes while singing. Clearly pissed off at this unfortunate mishap she exited the stage with "it just don't get any better".
Ed Sheeran set to release music Friday
For Ed Sheeran fans 2017 has already become better than 2016. Early in the New Year Sheeran released a 10 second video on twitter announcing that he would be releasing new music on Friday. Ed Sheeran's entire social personality has been changed to the color blue so we can only assume that this coming album will be colored blue as the the last two were also solid colors. Ed Sheeran is also said to do tours this year and perform among other artists like the Foo Fighters.
Frank Ocean - Purpl
If there's one thing that OG Ron C and his Chopstars crew do best, is that it's their ability to give an album a new life. The Chopstars has already given some albums new life within this year, those album include: Rihanna - ANTI, Kanye West - The Life of Pablo, Chance The Rapper - Coloring Book. On Friday, December 30, 2016, DJ Slim K revealed the newest Chopstars project, a Chopped Not Slopped version of Frank Ocean's album Blonde. DJ Slim K named the Chopped Not Slopped version Purpl, the mixtape takes the already-moody Blonde and slows it down, returning Frank's pitched-up vocals on the songs "Nights" and "Nike" to a lower register. The result of this Chopped Not Slopped mixtape is ultimately soothing, as snare hits at a lazy tone, and Frank's deep and buttery voice takes you to a dreamy and dark dimension.

Cristina Ronaldo says money doesn't motivate him
Cristiano Ronaldo says money doesn't affect him in any way, and doesn't motivate it him... being the best is what does, after his agent, Jorge Mendes, claimed he had rejected a move to a Chinese team. Real Madrid star Ronaldo got an offer to switch to Far East to play for an unnamed Chinese club for €100million, while handing Real Madrid a €200million transfer fee. The best-paid footballer in the world was interviewed by the Egyptian TV, he stated that he tries to be the best, and that's his job, nonetheless, the deal was considered 'impossible', his agent had to reject it because Ronaldo already signed a new contract to stay with Real Madrid club only two months ago. This contract is signed until 2021, and will keep the 2016 Ballon d’Or winner in the Spanish club until he turns 36. A lot of professional players were transferred to the Chinese League in the past few months such as Carlos Tevez and Oscar. Ronaldo signed for a lifetime endorsement contract with clothing brand Nike which reportedly could be worth as much as $1 billion. Ronaldo was asked about how he finds a balance between his CR7 business and football, he answered that he's currently focusing on football because it's his job, and said he's grateful for having a good team who work with him to do the best.
Alabama Crimson Tide and Clemson Tigers will be the match up for the College Football National Championship
Alabama (14-0) will play Clemson (13-1) on January 9th 8PM EST on ESPN for the College Football National Championship. Both teams dominated their opponents in the semifinals. Alabama beat Washington 24-7, and Clemson shutout Ohio State 31-0. It is the first time that Ohio State has been shutout in a bowl game since 1921, and the first time that Urban Meyer has been shutout as a head coach. Alabama has been the team to beat all season, and Clemson will have the last shot to do so. Last season it was quite the opposite. Clemson was undefeated and Alabama beat them in the championship 45-40 in a nail biter. This year the Clemson Tigers seek revenge and hope to defeat Alabama and ruin their undefeated season. Alabama is favored by 7. If Alabama wins it will be Nick Saban's 6th National Championship which will tie the all time great Alabama head coach Bear Bryant. If Clemson wins it will be Dabo Swinney's first. The key to the game is turnovers. Alabama has been scoring defensive touchdowns almost every game, if Clemson can prevent that they have a good shot at winning the title.

Trumps Billboard over the homeless
The billboards reads the following, “There is only one way to live,” next to a larger-than-life photo of Trump smiling down on a scene of poverty from his gilded room. “The Trump way.” Image has gone viral after many thought the images was fake and later was proven wrong by the actual photographer saying it was real and non-edited. The billboard sends a very strong statement which people are already talking about. These are words from the photographer himself, “Business, done right, can create lasting social value,” said Needham. “I saw Trump towering over the homeless, the children sleeping on cardboard on the street, and I was reminded of the ways in which our economic system can be painfully exclusive and unfair.” The heavy symbolism of the photo itself has made trump image even uglier.

Battlefield Hacks & Cheats
This week we are featuring the Battlefield Hacks & Cheats section, which is currently moderated by [MPGH]Paralyze.
Battlefield is a first-person shooter (FPS) game, being playable on the following platforms (depending on the game):
- Windows
- PlayStation 4
- Xbox One
- OS X
- PlayStation 3
- Xbox 360
- PlayStation 2
- Xbox
Battlefield 1 was released on October 21st, only supporting Windows, PS4, and Xbox One. While the platform support is limited, the game is widely played, being based off World War 1. If you want to play a nice FPS game, I highly suggest this as you will find quite a lot of fun playing the single-player missions!
If you are struggling at the game, MPGH provides hacks for this game (only supports the Windows platform). The hacks include no-recoil, esp, aimbot, and instant hit.
A thread to look at for quick hacks is this Battlefield 1 internal hack thread.
