Need Speech Topic! Any Ideas?

I gotta write up and present a speech soon and I need a good topic. The general premise of the speech is problem/solution.

What this means is that I must talk about a problem that occurs on our world. This can be on a local, state, national, or international level. After that, I must talk about a proposed solution that can remedy this problem.

I have to incorporate sources within my speech too so please make the problem relevant and easy to find data on. Also please stay away from the common topics like global warming and stuff.
