When you accept someones request it opens up their chat

Also for people you add, let you send a note that will be sent to them when its opened. Helps both parties

The sender gets to say what he wants

The reciever gets to automattically see why they added.

Which is very valid didn't realize this was a problem and I could understand the spamming that occurs from new users although it's not justified

Is chat down for anyone else? I have no chat icon on my phone or on chrome on my pc and the clicking the chat link at the top of the page does nothing

Recommendation = When someone deletes / blocks you in IMCHAT, the conversation history should always be maintained.

Also= the date/time is detailed when the request is sent and accepted to add a contact.

Worst change to ever hit MPGH, IMHO. I've already commented on it but It's just so bad that I have to do it again. I honestly don't mind having an embedded chat system(if it were good in any way(notifications, responsiveness, etc)) but why the hell are we forced to use it as the only available option to communicate? It's a pain to communicate through it as a buyer and I cannot even imagine just how much more painful it is for sellers with a lot of customers. It wouldn't be an issue if it was better than the alternatives but that's the issue; It's not.

There is also no easy way to track who's who unless they have accepted your request immediately otherwise you have to click on their profile, and find their posts/threads to remind yourself of the reason you added them in the first place... Or just have a very, very incredible memory to be able to keep track of users added days or weeks later.

TLDR; Chat sucks. Let us take care of ourselves and choose to chat through whichever platform we choose from. The privacy/legal risks involved for the massive amount of gray-area services being sold here should also cause concern to everyone involved in those services. From what I've seen a lot of people are just using the IM to ask for a better way to chat through anyhow.

How to reproduce: I'm assuming it's a conflict with GBoard as it prevents me from typing and or deletes text when using the space bar. Desktop version does not resolve this issue.
