Is Jehovah's Witness considered a cult?

So while I was in high school and maybe two years within college I starteed studying with a Jehovah's witness preacher. She would come over my house and just lecture me about the bible (the Jehovahs witness version). I thought nothing of it but as I got older my friends kept mentioning that I was in some sort of cult. So I wanted to hear peoples opinion about this.

From my experience, they are forcing their beliefs onto others, they are often times interrupting the lives of normal people to preach about what they believe in, it seems like they want to shove their faith onto others but that's just religion in general isn't it?

Is it annoying? Yeah
Is it a cult? Nope

The church is 100% a cult. Members who try to leave face extreme pressure from their fellow church-members, ex-members are systematically ostracized and socially isolated by the remaining members, and outsiders who question their practices are thrown out. Classic cult characteristics.
