Good episode. The entire point of it was to show Aryas development, The one redemption and Beans predictions. He gave her the same dagger that almost killed him just so she would kill the NK with it. That is some poetic and badass foresight. And lol at Sam lying on top of 50 corpses stabbing dudes left and right.

Game of Thrones can't be understood by just watching the show, you need to read theories and recaps by others as there's too much detail that you missed out on. GoT does one thing extremely well and that's not explaining storylines, they let you use your own imagination... It's like those books that have multiple pathways.. If a show needs to explain the storyline, it's most likely not at GoT's level. Go watch videos on where people show how events lead up to this moment. I was pissed off the first hour after the episode and then realized how masterfully it was set up with Arya eventually being the one who kills TNK. Arya's arc was perfectly setup to kill TNK, no one noticed it.

TNK doesn't do 1v1 battles (walks away from Jon after resurrecting the dead while going towards the godswood)
TNK only enters when it's safe to do so and once his wights have killed everyone (godswood is an example again)
TNK sensed Jon 200m away when he saw him on the field before going to godswood.
So how would you even kill him since he's so careful?

Arya is trained by the faceless men, everyone from Syrio Forel to Jaqen H'gar had their part to play. Why would Jaqen just let Arya leave her service to the many faced god if there wasn't some bigger picture. She's one of the best assassin's in the show, what better way to kill TNK than her? She's naturally a stealth god, she's a fucking badass with any weapon and she would seem like the most unlikely to like TNK (which is what GoT writers have always done).
