Most people are religious by nature of their parents because of their influence (church, bible from a young age etc) and only a small percent of people actually switch religions/become atheist or vise versa. Now if a hardcore Christian who believes other religions are not true was instead adopted at birth by a family who believes in Hinduism, wouldn't that person now be a hindu and not believe in Christianity? Christian believes in one god (or the trinity idk) and hinduism believes in tens of thousands of gods. Upbringing plays a major part in an individuals belief system, My parents were strict hindus but they converted to Christianity. They don't enforce their beliefs onto me however. So yes, if a christian orphan gets adopted by a hindu family, they will naturally grow into that belief until they make choices of their own.
