• PORT FORWARDING - For users behind a router.
  
  Many people are experiencing problems playing ROPW from behind a firewall/router, configuring your router to access the server is actually quite easy. I have spent considerable hours enjoying ROPW from behind my D-Link.
  
  D-Link
  
  * Browse to your D-Link Router and login.
  * Goto Advanced Tab
  * Select Applications
  * Put in the following values
  * Select enabled
  * Name: GameMaker
  * Trigger Port: 47624
  * Trigger Type: Both
  * Public Port: 2300-2400
  * Public Type: Both
  
  Your screen should look like this:
  
  
  Click Apply and your done.
  
  LinkSYS
  
  * Browse to your LinkSys Router and login.
  * Click on Advanced Tab
  * Click on Forwarding Tab
  * Click the Port Triggering Button
  * Put in the following values
  * Application Name: GameMaker
  * Trigger Port Range: 47624 ~ 47624
  * Incoming Port Range: 2300 ~ 2400
  
  Your screen should look like this:

  Click Apply and your done.
  
  If your router does not have the port triggering option then you may need to upgrade the firmware, or your router may be to old and doesn't support port triggering.
  
  How port triggering works
  
  Contrary to popular belief, most routers don't fail to run network applications because of their built in firewall. They fail to run applications because of Network Address Translation (NAT). NAT is what allows you to share multiple hosts on one IP address. With NAT hosts outside of your local network CAN'T address hosts on your network.
  
  Port triggering tells your router to look for a specific trigger port, in our case port 47624, the default GM and directx multiplayer port. When it sees an outband packet on this port, it will automatically open up the data ports (2300-2400) ports on all inbound traffic and forward them to the host that generated the trigger.
  
  Port Forwarding
  
  Port Forwarding is a second approach you could use to configure your router to play ROPW. I don't recommend it (espeically if you don't know whats going on) because; it is awkward to configure and has the disadvantage of only (easily) allowing one host on your network to use the forwarded ports.
  
  Demilitarized Zones
  
  Demilitarized Zones (DMZs) are a facility that takes one host and exposes it on the Internet, effectively turning your router's firewall off and not reqiring NAT for that one exposed host. I don't recommend this either, (again if you don't know what your doing) because that firewall is no longer filtering traffic. It also has the disadvantage of only allowing one host to use the DMZ.
  
  In any event Port Triggering is the preferred method, it allows you to configure specific applications, without interfering with other hosts, it's easy, and it still allows you to enjoy the full benifits of your router's firewall features.
  
  
• Still can't get in-game?
  Then you need to turn Windows Firewall off. Control Panel>Windows Firewall>Off>Ok.
  
  
• Can't type in your password?
  Duh, don't hit TAB or click the text field - hit enter .

Can i become a GIT, i was a GM on a private server for WoW and MapleStory.

you dont have to disable windows fire wall on vista and im pretty sure about xp
if any vista users need help ill teamV them if need'd

To log in do I... press new game and make an account?

The server is offline atm, but yeah. Hit New Game, make the account, press Log In. It'll go to a black screen and then you hit Next, it brings you back to the menu. The just log in. If after you make the account and it goes back to the menu immediately, then you need to port forward, turn off windows firewall, or the server is offline.

Its pretty discrimination, why make all the gm's/admins gm/admin because they are here..
Btw, make it online then?

It's online now. Oneirish is now a GIT. Plus sirnewell, I doubt all of the staff is going to play it.
