Well, I guess its a respect thing. If someone doesn't know English, you don't blankly go and "grammatically" correct them, they don't know English in the first place. So why bother them? Just ignore and pass by them. If you were in "their" shoes, and someone tried to grammatically correct you, how would you honestly feel?
