Its pricey but do you think its worth it in the long run? Not getting it now because of the price but would you get it in the future?

It is still pixels.
All they did was make it more HD by just increase the pixels.
If you zoom into the very smallest you can go you will see that it is still the same.

So all they did was instead of 1080 pixels they are making it 4000 pixels.

Well what do we know about pixels?
That its all a 2D image, so its up to you?
Do you have the money to go and buy all the things need for this?

Let alone you have to buy the monitor and you will need a very big computer just to render all this.

Games would go from about 8GB to over 30GBs and you are looking at paying about 500 to 1+k for it.

I can't even imagine how burned my video card and cpu would be.

Yeah cause 5 cents make a very big difference to 3k monitor which you still have to a video card and the processor to even use it otherwise you would get a lot of fps issues.

I wish they would've come out with some type of virtual thing instead.

According to Linus from Linustechtips, at an AMD conference sort of thing they had a demo room and there were 3 4k monitors in a triple monitor setup so
it was 12k... god dayum

Watching a 4k video on a full HD tv is even still amazing but the file sizes are huuge
