Damage Indicators Mod For Minecraft 1.6.4
Here’s another cool mod that will bring a very interesting change to the game of Minecraft. Unlike other mods there are out there, which bring big changes to make things look more interesting, this mod only changes a few things about the game. Nevertheless, the mod is outstanding. This mod will add convenience and it will definitely approach to you as useful.
The Damage Indicators Mod is a mod that will add an RPG feeling to the game. With this mod installed, whenever you hit a mob, the damage you deal to the mob will appear instantly. When you attack any mob, the damage dealt will pop up with a little effect. But is that all? No, of course! The mod will also enable players to see the portraits of the mobs by putting the mouse over the mobs. This way, you will be able to know the name and the health of the mob you want to know more about. This will really make things more simple and nice.

C+P that ^ instead of your links if you're interested in the Pictures showing up on the thread.
Is this just a re-post from minecraftforum.net?
Also, for Minecraft Forge mods, you only need to place the mod into the "mods" folder, no need to extract the mod file into the minecraft.jar file.
