This is a tutorial on how to set up your non-steam version of couterstrike's server list so that you can play on non-steam servers without manually adding individual ip addresses.
I have attached a file called masterservers.vdf which you must put into your config folder.
If you are running the standalone version of CSS then the config folder should be located as follows:
Code:
C:\games\Counter-Strike Source\platform\config\
Keep in mind, the letter of the hard drive maybe different depending on which hard drive you have CSS installed on.
If you use the steam version of counterstrike and wish to add these servers, then the folder should be located as follows:
Code:
C:\Program Files\Steam\config\
Again, keep in mind that the letter of the hard drive may differ on your computer.
Now that you know where your config folder is located, you need to download the attached file, extract it from the archive, and place the .vdf file into the config folder. If prompted to over write click yes, and be sure to back up your old file before replacing in case anything goes wrong.
After the file is placed, you will see non-steam servers listed on your find servers tab.
If you require any help, don't hesitate to ask.
