Computer Programming? Hacking?

Hey guys this may be a little off topic but i posted this on the other forums but no one go's there and alot more people view this forum. I need some help from some pros.

I've decided to go back to school and get a degree in computer programming.
WHAT I WANTED TO KNOW IS.....What are the best programming languages to learn if i want to do something with gaming, internet based programs and other software programs? Some educated responses would be helpful. THANKS

Actually im intrigued by computers; programming specifically. I would like to be involved in alot of software development. Game hacking would, im sure, be involved there too.

If you take a course for computer programming the course should outline the languages you learn. Not upto you.
