Yeah i helped some people on windows 7 figure it out. they just followed my simple tutorial and it worked so i can say now:
Tested on Windows 7 x64 (Powershell version v4.0)

But i think there is a problem for AMD CPU users or something similar cause like i found out that someone had a 0.00 CPU ID and i really don't understand whats the problem, but soon there will be a entirely new version and hopefully many bug fixes.

but what u can do and i suggest doing is follow the basic right click - properties press Advanced at the bottom and then untick all the first boxes and tick the last one only press ok and then tick the Read-Only check mark, then go to Security Tab and then click Edit then you will have to deny any permission for "system" slick ok and ok and that is a basic encrypt.
if u got it encrypted u can see that the file name has green text like this:

for even more protection open a folder and then open another folder in that folder and drag the powershell file in there and apply the changes while in that second folder, and then do the same thing for both of the folders (the encryption part ,denying system permissions and ticking Read-Only)

Thank you. but Steam Overlay runs as a Current User, and not System, which still allows steamoverlay and steamservice to access the file. From what I am told, its SteamService.EXE(system) and SteamOverlay.exe(Current User) which communicate with each other. SteamService is what sends VAC the information, and SteamOverlay is what 'searches' for the data.

Also with it writing to memory, there is still detection possible. Ill look around to see if there is anyway to crypt the script and decrypt it from memory.. Not sure if its possible in PS, but in VBS and other scripting langauges i know it is possible to do.

I used AMD Win8.1 x64bit, it works perfectly fine.

well i said that AMD CPU users have some issues not all of them but some of them, cause it showed CPU ID 0.00 and it doesn't have to do that.

Do you think VAC would detect VBScript? or Autoit?

Thinking about rewriting this in VBS or AIT
