Is there a way to load a steam account with a regular client?

You want to load an hacked client via Steam or load a Steam account via projector?

Yes. You need to download old version of rotmg, and replace rotmg files in steam folder. Then you just link your steam account with your email. Now you can use email instead of steam, so you can play via projector or website. All will be saved, and you also can get achievements in steam (If you get white star while playing on site, you can launch game in steam and get your achievements).

But I don't remember where I saw post how to get and replace rotmg with old version client. I guess it's on steam forums.

Not a hacked client, just a normal one. Although that doesnt change the question, right?

I'm not sure if you can still do the linking with an old client like @VBlindV said, that doesn't make much sense. I mean, it's a function that works with accounts, where's the point in updating it to work with the new appengine database since it should no longer be used?

I thought Kabam removed that.

That's correct, but the button still exists in older version of the client.
