❓ Looking to make Bots for Rotmg

Hi! I have never coded in my life and I barely know anything in general! In other words, I'm a leecher and noob!

However, I've always had this weird fascination for bots and automated software for romtg. Now go search for bots for rotmg! What did you find? Almost nothing right? Well thats why I need help! I dont know where to start coding bots designed for Rotmg!

I wanna be able to like make a fame bot for my friend and I.

Can someone point me in the right direction to where I can start learning some programming skills to make a bot?

I would really appreciate it!

You should use either KRelay or Realm Relay to create a clientless bot. For KRelay you need to learn C# and for Realm Relay Java. You should checkout the android apps made by "SoloLearn" for the language you want to learn. These are really good for beginners.

Heyyyyy Weco, any word on updating RR?

Also OP, I'm interested in making a bot as well. Once I have a functioning version of RealmRelay I might be able to help you learn javascript and make some neat stuff.

Alrighty Thanks alot for the feedback/replies. I'll guess I'll go for realm relay it seems easier. So from what I gathered to make RR scripts you need to learn javascript? I'll guess I'll go for that. I'll just problaby end up looking up a tutorial on YT or something.

Once I have a basic understanding on how javascript works is there anything else I need to learn separate from a general tutorial that Only applies to Rotmg?! This has been bothering me the most!

Who knows if I'll quit mid-way but I'm not planning to. >.>

You either need to know Java or JavaScript. (Huge difference!) Java if you directly build your bot inside of the Realm Relay source, JavaScript if you only use scripts. I always create my bots directly with the source.

You can modify it tho, but you could also just use realmrelay.

Yea, I was talking about modifiyng the source, not creating Plugins.

Anyways. I'm pretty sure the sequence to connecting to a server is

Hello -> Response from server with Mapinfo -> Client responds with load (and another packet i dont remember the name)
Then you pretty much send MOVE every 200 ms to respond to the servers UPDATE packets.
To talk you can simply send TEXT packets which is the easy part.
The hard part is making the bot sustainable. Which you can do with realmrelay. I would read some code from this post
(you should read "core.js" and "spam.js", it's a good example of a clientless bot that is out in the public)

I Still have no idea where to start. You see, there is really no guide or help for this game. I realize that taking a course may be a waste of time because at the end of the day I won't be able to do stuff that is Rotmg-Only related without a guide. How did you guys learn so much? I, here really can't find any guides on where to start. i mean i know i should start by the basics of the language and everything but that would just be wasting my time if I dont know anything about packets and what to put into a script. I mean i know its all about creactivity but I seem to have none. There is no clear guide on how to start coding scripts for Rotmg using realm relay. Im looking at this realm relay script and I dont think a course would help me. I look at documentation i cant understand a thing.

Learn the language first and than it should be pretty self explaining if you only script. KRelay has a good documentation. You should also look into sources of already created plugins and learn from them after you learned at least the language basics.
