INFORMATION 8/16/16

There have been numerous reports that all accounts which are now receiving the "Failed to receive game data from the server" error message when they try to login via the app are locked until further investigation by Niantic. Once your account will be investigated it will very likely get banned. (This hasn't been confirmed yet) There might be a way to save your account before it gets investigated, though. Just submit a regular appeal to Niantic telling them that you always get that error message when you try to login via PTC/Google. (Telling them which login method you use might speed up the unlocking process.) (Don't forget to include your username in the appeal.) This might get your account unlocked again because Niantic simply can't check every single account; there would be too many accounts to check.

I would like some of you to try this out for one or two accounts you could "sacrifice" if necessary so we can see if this works out or not. I also want to remind you that at the moment, you should try not to bot as we don't know for sure how Niantic flags accounts. If you still want to use a bot, feel free to do so but be warned, you might get your account flagged sooner rather than later.
