First time drawing.

So like 1 week ago, I challenged myself, using nothing except pen, it took a while, but well said, my first drawn anime char. All the tips are appreciated. My only purpose was that I am just too lazy to draw on an A4 Paper and color it so just used a pen on my tablet. My method was that the monitor was in front of me and I just looked at it, preparing for art olympics here.

Any tips on making shadows? Did this today.

@High you're making progress, what program are you using? photoshop? when I'm making shadows I do different layers of darker tones of black/gray and blend them together

All of them are drawn on my tablet, nothing cool in particular. Just a normal drawing notepad.

Well if you have a blend tool in the program you use, yeah just fill in the area with layers of different shades of black/gray and blend them together

Any tools you prefer for IPad? Or cool graphic designing for pic, aiming to learn some good graphic designing skills.

Hmm, not really sure I've never drawn on an ipad, but I'm sure there are some great tutorials online you can find

@ @High if you want me to give you some actually good tips tell me, i do this stuff all day everyday pretty much. Al thought recently I've been a lot more into irl stuff as my drawing tab shit out.

Okay, first thing i would do. This will almost always make you better faster. Make a complete drawing, nothing sketchy about it, get rid of all the extra lines and make them as clean as possible and then show me it. It will look much better and I can help you better that way. Unless of course you want to do it that way then you cant really improve on a sketchy style on a pc, because it will always just look "ok"
