If you mean removing malware from your computer, there are many programs to use such as Zemana AntiMalware, Malwarebytes AntiMalware, Crystal Security, etc.
If you mean removing malware that's in an application/program, either don't use it, run it in a virtual machine or use it sandboxed in something like Sandboxie.

I personally use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware its pretty good, you can find a premium version for free if you look for it
It really depends on how serious the virus is, if it's a trojan/backdoor just do a system restore or if it's some low tier one just use Kaspersky, it's a great AV in all honesty.
I personally use MalwareBytes and AdwCleaner, both together are pretty strong !
