Target Refund - Police Report - UPS
So I got this Iphone from Target and had it refunded. Total cost was around $480. Target contacted UPS and UPS said they delivered it and came to my house and gave me a follow up report. I said I never got it and they said to file a police report and call UPS and give them the report number. I just want to know if it is safe to file a police report, I have never filed one before and will stick to my story that I never got it or is there any alternative like making a fake one or whatever?

You don't have any obligation to talk to target or UPS. You had it refunded, case closed.

The obligation is on target or UPS to pursue you for return if that's what they want to do. You don't need to take calls, answer emails, return letters etc.

But if the legal threats come you better get ready to deal with it

You can simply ignore UPS and Target.

It's their problem now.
You're good to go.

No the problem is I didn't receive the refund and for them to refund me, I have to give them a police report. Well I called the police and they are coming over now to solve everything so wish me luck. I did not sign for it, it was dropped off in front of my house so I'm sticking with my story that it never came. Wish me luck...

That's such a bad move, if they find out you were lying then good luck, you're going to jail for fraud, shouldn't have went this far just to refund 500$ for a risk of being in jail for 2-7 years.

It's really easy.
Just stay calm and stick to your story and the police generally won't have a choice but to believe you, and then you'll get your refund.

i think its fraud under $5000 leads to jails for 1-10 years.
