doesnt really change much, since its no nvme ssd, m.2 is just the form factor

nvme is what makes the 960 (pro) so fast

and you could also make the second build faster if adding a 1070, since the other savings make it possible, in the same time you could also upgrade the 1500x to a 1600 for added cores at just a marginally higher price

i also think that a 750w psu is a bit overkill for a non overclockable cpu and a 1070, you should be totally fine with 500w

Current drive I have is nvme and it's really fast, not necessarily worth the extra cost (since it's a really high capacity drive) definitely faster, but price to performance is pretty bad :/(at the time, maybe changed)
Yes could go for a 1070. I guess. Was trying to go for as budget so he could buy some games, but for his plan yea 1070 more necessary.
Lesser 500 watt wasn't really that much less expensive. Yea save a few bucks but eh, all in the name of "future proofing" (even though power draw is decreasing over time, less strain and thus wear on the parts.)

yeah thats true, especially when youre building in a tiny case and you got a low amount of sata cables to work with

500w is indeed the lowest you should go, an plus side of an overkill psu is that the fan might not have to spin all the time and so itll be a bit more quiet, but i think this applies better to really strong psus, like the 1000w + ones
