Update: it was just for verification and everything went smooth w/ refund.
However, now its been a couple weeks and a Fedx guy came to the house asking for the package. Wasn't home so they said they will be back later. Is this normal? What to do? Say threw the box out or give them box?

or call your apple specialist and stick with your story and sound pissed you already threw out the packaging because you thought it was trash. youre trying to NOT blame it on the carrier.
