FYI, I have gotten Intel to refund my 1+ year old i5 6600k recently in May. I went back and forth with them, and basically told them the CPU was causing my PC to blue screen, micro stutter and induced DPC latency + audio pops. Went through the troubleshooting, ect. And after I sent my CPU in, they provided me with a check for the full retail price. Probably can tweak this to profit.
Intel will bend over backwards to assist their customers based on my experience.
