And the answer is both yes and no. It only needs 1 confirmation for it to be deemed a legit transaction. However it is good to wait till 3 confirmations just in case. If there are no confirmations and you send the money, it will result in double spend and your transaction will fail.

And to everyone who is saying "if his trust worthy it's okay". That's stupid. If he person who sent you money put a tiny fee, no mining pool will pick up the transaction
