Are there any shows comparable to the genius narrative structure of Avatar: The last Airbender?
I marathoned this show and it was so fucking good, but when I went to watch Legend of Korra I almost threw up because of how shitty it was, right from the get go. I don't want to spend too much time complaining about it here, but the first episode was pure unadulterated trash.

Does anyone have suggestions on similarly high-quality western animation that actually has a narrative arc?

Naruto perhaps that kind of style isn't very popular it think.

I am also a fan of Avatar the last airbender, and I have searched for any shows similar to it but there are hardly any. Avatar, in my opinion, is one of the rare shows I'd consider perfect. From the plot, character development, music, animation, and even action it all gets a 10/10 from me. Korra is not horrible alone but compared to Avatar it certainly is.

Although I cannot recommend any shows to watch, try reading the promise and the search . These are comics that continue the story of Avatar the Last Airbender up until korra.
