If you’re completely new like myself, nicehash is a nice solution.
GPU mining is not efficient nor profitable, you can try an alt coin but you might not get where you want to be. ASIC miners use alot less electricity but the pricepoint on them is a bit high but /worth imo

Google is your friend, it's really not hard to find the software required for mining.
Lately, I have been using Nicehash because of its simplicity and it pays out in Bitcoin. However, there is other options such as mining the coins directly through pools. It depends on your hardware though since some graphics cards are not very profitable.
You can find "easy" solutions like Minergate, but there's evidence online that they give you a lower hash rate.
Look into Claymore's Dual miner which is the one that many people are using and join a pool.
