Yeah, it'll hopefully die down a bit. I heard they're going to put a ban on mining crypto in the new 20xx cards. I could be wrong though. Rumors.

a 1050ti or a 1060 would be too weak for a i7 6700k,if your gonna get a 6700k get at least a low end 1070

also games are now more gpu dependent rather than cpu so get a more expensive gpu a 1070 would be fine

I always say if you have like a $500 budget go for a gpu around 300 and cpu around 200.
Its better not to have something that is considerably more high tier than your other parts.

1050tis get barely hot, pick the one that looks best or is cheapest, there isnt much difference between those, and on a 1050ti its not really worth spending much more for a big cooler

also if youre waiting with the purchase anyway you can also wait out the new generation and see what that one brings

If hes goes for a 1050ti he will not be able to play games like gta v at high settings. 1060 3gb is so much better than 1050ti for the price.

I have a 1060 3gb and a older amd cpu and i get terrible performances in games.
Get a better cpu/motherboard or a 1050ti.

Just wait a bit more for the bitcoin mining hype to cool off

Buying now will make you wish to shoot yourself

But i suggest you to get a more powerful cpu

What do you guys mean when you say bottlenecking?

For this processor, it's best to use 1050TI.
