[PSA] Ban Information
Hello everyone. Recently there's been a lot of speculation regarding ban waves of clean, unhacked accounts being taken down - especially in wake of Noob3's publicity. I can confirm this to be true with multiple cases. Take note, the Dead by Daylight developers have been breaking their own rules as stated on their Official Website & Game Wiki in accordance to bans and their respective penalizations. BEWARE: Do not take their 'official' word to be true. At this point they're banning without recourse for any reason they wish, including personal vendettas, regardless of their own clearly outlined rules of penalization.

For example: In my case, I have a total of 3 accounts. The first was perma game banned for legacy & achievements. The second account was also banned for those reasons in addition to lag switching. However, the third account was perfectly legit and clean. Regardless of this fact, a HWID/IP Ban was applied to my PC and the clean account was taken down in the process. Keep in mind, according to their Official Website as well as their Official Game Wiki, this should not have been possible at all. For those unwilling to take a look at the specifics, HWID bans are only allowed to be applied to accounts caught with more than 3 previously banned alts (Reason: ban evasion). However, as I stated before, only two accounts of mine were unclean, so this should never have been possible. I would've had to cheat on two more accounts in addition to my two already banned previous accounts to achieve a HWID under 'normal' circumstances. But I was given one anyway.

There are more and more reports of clean accounts being banned without any apparent reason surfacing with each passing day. At this point, a case should be made to Valve on behalf of the community in a request to remove the dev's banning tools for unfair and negligent behavior. The rampant bans are out of control and are violating their own stated rules. We as consumers should not take these violations and abuses lightly, especially when accounts worthy of decent financial value that violated no rules are being penalized for absolutely nothing. Other developers of other games have had their tools removed from them because of similar antics in the past. These developers are no more protected than them. Remember: the ban tool is a privilege given by Valve, not a right.

I do not know of an unjustified Ban case. Either because you did something that attempted against the EULA that you accepted when you first started the game, or because you did it 2 times.

You are breaking the rules you accepted when you started and bought the game.

Now, the reason for the aggressive Bans (HWID ban), that is, permanent is to constantly resort to attacking the EULA.

If you never cheated, be assured that you have not been banned.

Even EAC and Valve take the Bans very seriously to the extent that they claim that even if you had the bad luck of starting on a Banned computer, a banned IP, etc., your Ban will not be removed. Steam declares that you must take care of your account, since if another person misuses it, and it is banned, this will be irreversible.

I accept the Bans I've had, because from the beginning I assumed the consequences of my actions hacking the game. What I do not understand is because people who have been banned and who used hacks, are now outraged and angry knowing that this was a risk.

Peace.

You're reading one right now. As I said before, nothing was done on the third clean account at any point in time. That was the main reason in writing this post - to warn others that the developers are no longer following their own stated rules. And no, I am not breaking the rules when I bought and started the game. Read their rules.. it literally says you can have more than one account so long as you don't cheat - in which case it'll obviously get banned.

You can choose to not believe me, that's fine. That's entirely up to you. But the fact is I've put in days of research into the subject and know exactly what I did and did not do wrong. I also know their terms and EULA by heart and have spoken with multiple Dead by Daylight Employees, Mods, and also EAC employees regarding this exact matter. I'm not wrong.

EDIT: Here's a link to their rules because it seems like you need to catch up on a few things.

Friend, I agree with what you are saying and I also know the EULA, I have read it countless times.

(By the way Gamepedia unless I'm wrong, I think it's not an Official page but it collects the information that are published by the developers and owners of the games) I even dare say it has no legal validity.

I tell you this because I wrote an email to the developers saying that I would take legal action when they banned me an account in which I never opened the game. It has zero hours, that is, I never accepted the EULA and because of this they were ignoring me. I had not even opened the game they had banned me from.

They responded saying that they had detected a hack from multiple accounts from my PC (I guess from the HWID), for that reason that account had been banned instantly as well.

Here if I seem to abuse the Ban, but anyway, they responded saying that.

So I agreed in what you say, they have become more severe. The only thing that I clarify is that if I cheated once, I am sure that they will not touch their hearts the next time, or they will leave carefully with an account that in the past "cheated". As illogical as it sounds, it has a certain logic. "Take care of people who repeat".

If you have banned me 2 times already (soft or hard Ban), rest assured that I have already raised suspicions. Any report that you receive, for bad player, for winning, for "cheating", etc ... Surely you will see on a blacklist that you must have, and say "look, this guy is the one we already banned twice".

Do not expect much from them regarding the Bans.

I'm quite versed with the EULA as well as their official game rules at this point. The same can be said for their reasons of penalization, too. All relevant data pertaining to my case in particular has been recorded pre and post infraction in the event they (BHVR) quick edit their legal documents or game rules of penalization. This includes email chains with employees and mods of both BHVR and EAC. Of course, these won't be publicly released in lieu of potential privacy concerns. If this does end up escalating, though, I'll speak with an attorney to figure out what type of solutions are available.

In the meantime, be careful playing. The rules of penalization are highly uncertain right now.
I respect what you want to do, it's your choice

But if you remember that you were banned the first time for cheating. (It does not matter if the DbD and EAC ban system is severe or not), return to the EULA, if you legally broke your case is dead like mine and many more banned.

And I repeat, I agree with you, we have to be more careful because the current Ban system is not clear at all and may be abusive.
google 'dead by daylight EULA' and read upon that. if you didn't break any rules there then you can sue them for monies
