(HELP)modding?

i know this is the wrong section to put it in but many people will see this and help me....
im new to this whole modding and hacking thing but i have seen people bearly start and already know how to mod, can any1 help me how to mod and give me step by step instructions if you can??? plzzz

For texture modding, just experiment and get constructive criticism.

i am wondering if any of the programs that i need to download or use, if they could give me a virus or malware problems, this is not my computer so i have to be careful with this one, but i really want to mod. i wjust wanna play it safe, i look at the link that KENTONYU provided me. can any of you tell me the truth?

sometimes the search button doesnt work for me, it takes me to toher stuff that i dont want it to, so i go advance but still takes me to where i dont, so i post in places like this so people can help me
