Blacklist items

why didn't the company like google keep track of the phone's imei they sold and blacklist it when it got "lost"? Why don't all companies do that, not only on phones but all products?

you're asking questions you shouldn't be asking.

cuz they can spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in developing and maintaining that system, or just not have it and save that money

I wonder this all the time with Google. Short answer for google is they're too disorganized.
