[HELP]Icon Problem[Solved]

I'm trying to change the icon shown on the .exe file but it just stays the same when i try to change it.

Here is a screenshot:

go to Solution explorer (a panel on the right)
click My Project
a new page should pop up and you should see a thing that say icon:
choose your icon
then ur done
NOTE: you must have a .ico file as ur icon

There are two different icons.
The icon specifically for a form and icon for the project.
In this case, its the Project icon that needs changing.
Try following Hopefordope's solution. if it doesn't work, i'll give u another 1.

I did that. Didnt work.

are you sure u have a .ico image and followed the steps correctly?
You can also save and restart Vb and see if tht works

or

u can build the project

this is a common error in visual basic, just move the program to ur desktop and u should be set.

This has happened to me many times a simple solution is to rename the .exe then change it back. This works for me

This actually worked! Thanks!

EDIT: Nvm. Ok, it now shows the new icon in the folder but when i move the .exe to the desktop, the previous icon is shown. This also happens when i create a shotcut.

Hmm make sure you build it so it updates the program

the best thing to do is reinstal vb

dont worry u can still open ur previous projects
