Currently its AMD. With their prices and performances right now i can't recommend intel, but i do have an i7-9700k in my pc. If i bought it right now i would go with Ryzen definitely
always go for ntel, top quality parts
i prefer amd, processors very fast, and good for multi-use destroying mostly of intel recent processors
It really depends on what you want to be doing with your PC. If you want to be gaming, I would recommend Intel.
If you plan on video editing/graphics design/etc I would recommend AMD.
AMD comes with more cores but Intel comes with more power per core although their processors will have 4 cores and the AMD alternative might have 6-8.

I reccomend AMD over intel but some games are very unoptimized and play alot better on intel CPUs so I would watch benchmarks for games you play
I chose AMD having had Intel CPUs for long time.
