What does a ban do?

If I create a account and cheat on csgo and get banned, do I get IP banned? Or computer banned? I have a main account and don't wanna get banned, so can someone explain?

Only the account that injects the hack gets banned. Vac doesn't issue IP or hardware ban, yet.

You only get banned on that specific account, you can still create more accounts with the same email it's just the account that gets banned no ip bans no nothing, so if you have a throwaway account that you just made it's probably not too big of a deal.
