Getting into Visual Studio for External Hacking
I want to make a basic external application to read and write memory.

I installed Visual Studio 2019 and tried to run basic code similar to that shown in the above video ^
I have done basic cpp coding in classes, and I have a huge amount of python experience. I know how to code, but when I try to get into game reversing and cheat coding, I don't understand what SDK i need.

The code breaks down as soon as I try to compile

Code:
#include <Windows.h>
I assume I need to just grab some things through the Visual Studio installer. I installed VS 2017 after VS 2019 didn't work. Should I reinstall VS 2019, and then install something? Or just keep it as is.

Thank you guys so much for your help, if you decide to help a poor scrub like me out. I'm just getting into the CS hacking game now, and this is the first step towards creating some new content and cheats.

Again, thank you very much

Also, I know that <Windows.h> may not be the right syntax, maybe "windows.h" or something similar is actually correct, but the point is that the problem is certainly with the fact that my installation isnt complete.
I am not sure what you did wrong. But since you mentioned the Visual Studio Installer.
EDIT: Just have read the last sentence that your installation isn't complete. Reinstall Visual Studio (any version is good). And don't stop the installation (even if it is easily 50Gigs+). It can prevent errors like this.

Did you tick the C++ Desktop Development thingie? It should actually come with the necessary components.

Also are you sure you did select the C++ Console Application, just like in the video?

And don't forget to do this. That's something a lot do forget.

Also would be cool if you post all errors. It wasn't the only one, at least I know that it wasn't the only one. Only trying to help you, that's why you should give us more information than that in the future.
