How many languages do you speak (coding langues count... I guess)

Anyways I speak 4 now. So my knowledge and mastery follows in the following descending order: English, Gujarati, Hindi, Spanish (just reached A2). I want to probably reach B2 in Spanish. After I reach B2 I would want to learn French since it would probably be easy, well easier since I know Spanish and english.

I will say that my intentions are not right for learning these languages. I wanted to FLEX on all the single language speakers on this site (which I think there are not alot of).

Also coding lanagues count imo since they are a new form of language. I just cannot understand it. So if you speak 2 lanagues and learned a coding lanague did you find that coding was harder to learn as a language. I know some fundamental things are different so it would be interesting to know.

LASTLY, @bernard.. do you know anyone in HR that has used this to their advantage, knowing multiple languages. Before I started learning spanish I thought it would give me an edge but HR people on reddit stated that it doesn't matter at all. What do you think?

The only language I can speak fluently is English. From what I've seen, knowing multiple languages doesn't really help where I live because just about everything is done in English. I can see knowing a foreign language useful if you're in a field where you may communicate in a foreign language a lot (like a doctor in a hospital that serves a large minority population).

Yeah that makes alot of sense. However, I do wish to travel so hopefully I can use this to get transferred or something if not oh well. Maybe this can work to my advantage when I apply for senior level positions later down the line. Every edge over another applicant counts.

i speak 3 fluently, portuguese spanish and english and i understand most romance languages like french and italian. I speak business level in japanese and mandarin, mostly words like how much, courtesy words and requests. i am a human services worker so spanish is a must, i am always learning new languages

I guess 3, since I'm .5 fluent in Spanish and .5 fluent in Java along with English and another language

Indonesian, English, Malaysian and 4 regional languages (Saluan, Minahasa, Bugis and Kaili)
Life is good lol

I speak two languages, Estonian and English - English is most often fluent, though there are issues grammar in both languages, and sometimes when I talk in English even though it's sometimes fluent but hard to understand, it might be because of the fact that my accent is so mixed (from; American accent sort of to Indian when I get super loud)
