Venmo Scams

Does anyone mind sharing how the scam exactly works?

Been selling products on second hand markets and I always come across the user that ONLY wants to pay with venmo. Obviously a scam artist but I'd like to know how they exploit people.

This would make a great educational guide so people can learn and not get scammed.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Or they send you a fake email pretending to be Venmo that you received the money lol. Those people are fucking clowns tbh
