Vb help
Hello! I just started in vb, and I want to know what you advise me to learn quickly?
I'm 14 and I just want to learn more about vb...
What did you do to learn vb? Without necessarily going to college for that because I'm only 14 years.

Ps: Sorry for language :P I used translator a little becauz i'm french ! :P

Thx guys
I'm thirteen and I take classes.

Without taking classes, the best thing to do is to read tutorials here on MPGH and perhaps some VB communities, make lots of projects, and don't give up!

Don't be afraid to ask questions here, NextGen and I and plenty of others in this section are gladly willing to help you!
I would advise learning basics and following some tutorials, reading some then developing your own applications and experimenting.

Actually, if you wanna get really involved in VB, it's a great idea to sell your "more useful" VB apps.

True story:

This kid in my class developed a shitty (EXTREMELY SHITTY) runescape autoclickerper, which he handed in for a 60%.

He then uploaded it to brothersoft, and has made already 20 dollars off of it (selling 10 copies, probably all 8-year-old kids begging their mothers for it).

Just proves how much money you can make with simple software.
Hum ... Ok thx :P Ill see this !
Start by learning String Formatting. String Formatting is the heart of any programming language. Just ask and we'll help you.

As a start, perform at least 20 string operations on the following string:

"A quick brown fox jumped over the ten lazy dogs."

Good Luck !!
Screw you and your strings hassan xD

Learn the basics, using a book if you are really interested in VB. If you just wanna do a couple of newb softwares, youtube is going to help you a lot :P.

^^ F.U xD

String Formatting is still the best choice as a start. Coz you can't do much with out it !!!

**** the strings, i'm more interested in the money
The company I'm working at, they make a program in like an hour or two... (using a company self-made generator, which will generate code on templates, by per-created tables, etc etc.. its quite complicated to explain it in a few lines), they then spend like an hour or two adding some manual code, and there you go... 3.000€ ++ -.-''
So yea... 20€ isn't that much.. xD
