Changing Gunfire's sound effect

Okay, say I was trying to change the M4A1's shooting sound to another improved version of an m4. I rename the improved version to FIRE right? The default name for the firing effect. I injected it and in-game, its still the same.

Do i need to convert before switching? or i can switch without converting to LithTech?

Listen to the file your editing, maybe it's not the right one?

It should be, but im not totally sure becuz when i was hex editing i saw RoF, reload, reload speed, but i dont remember seeing anything that said sound. But i might be wrong.

You has to extrax teh SND.rez file.... did you do dat?

Okay, extract GUNS_SND_AR or whatever. Get your custom sound and name it FIRE. Put it in the gun folder you want and replace that file. Inject the folder.

I just did that. The injector told me that it was a duplicate file. And i just carry on injecting, now its still not working. D:

You click resolve, then pick the one that has your guns name in it ;p

Hm... try again, see if it's still not working.
