Elder Scrolls oblivion!

my pc should rape the game, i he more that specs say it need, but after install and when i start u the game, the 7900gtx's fans go full speed and all my temps shoot up and LOUD BEEEEEEEEEEP! and my comp reboots, i dont think it is my pc's fault, it a software problem, any idea on how to fix?? no i tried a new OS dosent help, i think it has something to do with dual core, cause my friend runs it fine and he has a opteron 145, when i changed his processor with my 165 it did the same thing.....
and my pc dont use the 165 i use an fx60 and it's also a dual core tho..

check the games conflictions with specific gfx card, update the game and make sure all your drivers are up to date, also you might want to set your page file to default if its not

ya did all that and more, turned of overclocking, and still dident work, i even turned off one of the cores still it dident work, does any one know if me installing xp again with only one core will make a differnce? cause i installed it with two and then turned one off.

This game is over-rated. yo uget bored after 2/3 days.

Your problem with your computer Gkanth is that your CPU is over heating. Either your CPU Fan/Watercooling isn't fast enough, or strong enough, or you didn't apply thermal grease correctly.

Dave has a Liquid Cooling system, and it pwns, and lets him basically overclock his CPU a shitload.

What about getting like 3 remote hair dryers? or something? LOL

Oh well, I know what's Oblivion, I got the game but, as NukeAssault says, its only good if we can run it, and to be honest, it doesn't actually "run" in my computer... I need better grafix card :/... It's a shame thou, A friend of mine has it, and I already played, looks very addicting, so Grafix is the shame

... but it should run better, the Recommended Settings are the ones my PC has... well well... its the same as arunforce, video sux, but the RAM has to make up for it, I got 1GB Ram
