Quick Question

Of the xyz coordinates, which of them controls the height. When i was playin yesterday without hacks, i saw this mofo in marien. He was postioned exactly so that when he crouched, he was below ground, and when standing, he glocked me in da face. I've tried to get the xyz coordinate position with no luck. Any1 care to help a noob out?

Z is height.
