Cod4 missing_fx.iwi problem?

Every time i start cod4 sp, it loads, then it turns black like the game is starting. Then theres the error sound, and it crashes back to desktop.
Then, the console log pops up and says "could not load missing_fx"

I reinstalled it and still same problem. Note: i downloaded it from a torrent on TPB, and the setup is a .bat file.

If you're gonna post shitty comments like "if it dont work to bad hahaa" or "juzt reinstal it work easy" then please, don't post.

Cracks usually do not work, you will surely need a cd key to be able to play online.
You could try to google the file which is missing and add it to your CoD 4 folder.

I did some research, the guys that solved it, said that they downloaded it all over.
Your file might contain a virus or it is corrupt.

Ok, I will upload it here for you.
To install it, go to Activision>Call of duty 4 - Modern Warfare>main>iw_02(open it with winrar), than extract the file I gave you and drag it in iw_02.
That should solve it.

missing_fx.rarattachment deleted · 345 downloads before removal

Yeh, it's in main/iw02/image or something like that.
But i already have it, the installer "rebuilds" it
So its like 1 whole file called iw02.iwd
I put the orginal files with missing_fx and it still has the error
But the solutions .. they bought and downloaded it from steam. I downloaded myself a ripped version of the game from a torrent site.

@TheUser i tried multiplayer, it still had the same prob. But when i patched it to 1.6 then 1.7, it goes "could not load voice off"
I downloaded the game from the......bay.org and it was a skullptura rip.
It shouldn't contain a virus or be corrupted.
Maybe you could TV me and see what's wrong?
if you could i would be so greatful. I really want to play cod. Im tired of shitty fps like CA and CF

Dude, it might be a virus, take an antivirus and check your PC.

Do you have an antivirus?

Yeh; spyware doctor, and threatfire.
Though i suspended threatfire, disabled onguard for spyware doctor, and for windows xp firewall, i added the iw3sp.exe file to exceptions list.

Edit; Sigh, i guess i'll just go back to playing AVA.
I just wasted 2 gbs of download and over 5+hours of my time that i couldve used to play ava.

Well... sorry mate, I don't think I got a solution for you.

I searched on google, after reinstalling the game worked on most cases.
