Small idea

A Private forum (like the CS, TM and minion sections) where people with a certain amount of posts and status can post their crap.

Basically a mini-general for semi-intelligent discussion.

Overall this idea will:

Reduce spam
Reduce complaining (from both sides)

Possible Requirements:

3,000 Posts
200+ Thanks
Well-rounded member

Possible Ideas / Additions:

Chat Box (even though we all use MSN)
Userbars (the ones that go in your sig)

I was thinking about 3k+ and good reputation would be the requirements.

Good idea, but never going to happen.

Wouldn't that make people spam until they have 3k just for the privilege of being able to post in the section?

I agree with this motion.

I think more spam will build up to the public side.

Nah, people hardly ever view the private sections. Also, the established member clause makes it so not just anybody who spams and makes the majority of the forum rage can get in.

There would be other requirements, and some people would be excluded from the requirements if they're well known to the community.

If I was a newphag, I'd totally spam to 3k just so I could access this section. /yea

How about make it 500+ thanks. Then we know they are actually doing something for the community. not just posting.

A thanks requirement would be a decent idea. I'd say about 200+ would be fair.

Another suggestion is that this section would be heavily modded, so that if someone decides to spam, then they would get banned.

At Leon, I can see that private thing, but can't post there.

first of all, nobody would spam to 3k just for this private section because it would only be a chatroom forum. they dont "get" anything from it like hacks or anything.
