To create a folder use:

My.Computer.Filesystem.CreateDirectory("C:\Mynewdi rectory")
To create a text file use:

My.Computer.Filesystem.WriteAllText("C:\Mynewtxtfi le.txt","texttowriteinthefile","True to append or false for newfile")
Code:
using Sw as new io.streamwriter("C:\mynewfile.txt")
sr.write(textbox1.text)
end using
You can also append text etc. My method is bettah.
