@scruffy, I'll look it up next time I'm in a video store.
Christopher Nolan has been making great movies like this for years. I believe he has like 3-5 movies in the top 100 on IMDB.

Memento, The Dark Night, The Prestige, Following, and Insomnia(?).

If anyone liked Inception, then I recommend seeing Memento. Very good film.

Yea... i actually need to watch it again to grasp the full concept
I made a thread on dreaming a few weeks ago, so I have the dreaming concept down
but the movies storyline is surprisingly confusing (in a good way)

I'll +1 that, Memento is quite epic (and you do need to watch it 2x unless you have picture perfect memory). Similar movies would also maybe be The Butterfly Effect, to some degree also movies like Bourne and Cube. All of them are of course worth watching.

The Butterfly Effect was good, yeah. I don't feel like it was as intelligent as Memento or Inception, but it was definitely a refreshing abstract film and was very entertaining. I'd recommend it as well, as long as they don't watch the sequels. Those were horrible.
More than just good ... it's currently the best movie, dunno why people hate it at all /
boring movie plus the end is gay.
Christopher Nolan films are always the greatest because as soon as you feel like you get it and everything seems to be coming together for a nice, clear ending, he fucks you up by twisting the plot once more and leaving you grasping for more (SPOILER ALERT: The top spinning without falling over when he sees his children again, signifying he is in a dream world.)

No that's not the significance of the ending, it's just a cliffhanger. The top is spinning, but starts wobbling as if it's going to fall, then the movie cuts out so we're like OMG DID IT FALL OR IS THE WHOLE THING STILL FUCKED!?

Then again the movie did end when the top was toppling side to side, as if it was going to fall down
So we don't know if he was really in the dream world or not
then again, i'm confused with the part where they were only supposed to go into 3 dream realms

Airplane = Living Realm
Warehouse/kidnapping = 1st Dream
Arctics = 2nd Dream
Limbo = 3rd Dream
when Leonard DiCaprio wounded up on another limbo / the beginning / the end where he was shown with the asian guy = Possible 4th Dream
and if he woke up again in the airplane after he met an older version of the asian guy = Possible 5th Dream ?

Pretty interesting ain't it.....

The most fucked up concept I found was that for some reason when people die (i.e the person they're trying to do inception on in the 3rd dream) For some reason they end up in a 4th dream level? Weird shit.

You're missing a piece of the puzzle lol
Airplane was reality.
The Kidnapping with the white van was the 1st dream
The second dream was actually the hotel.
The third was the arctic base.
The fourth dream was DiCaprio's world that he built with his wife.

Also, the top was shaking a tad, but it was staying up. If you notice the other times he spins it in alternate realities, it acts the same.

I won't help you figure it out more than that though because half the fun is piecing it together.

No no no. When someones dies, the go up a dream. (i.e., if they died in the first dream level, theyd wake up in reality)
@JDeezy
agreed..... its confusingly healthy for the soul
