the OS you have is totally irrelevant, but you are correct, he needs to reinstall and if that doesnt work, redownload and reinstall...... with the firewall down

Ontopic: Uninstall, IOBIT Uninstaller, it removes all traces of crossfire ever being installed, then reinstall it, maybe its cause of broken files...

Re-download the CF client, as it appears that CF has detected a change in its files. *Captain Obvious*
If this is happening with injecting hacks, don't inject the hacks and see what happens.

Reinstall CF.. it might work... if not.. reformat your computer and then try again.. (but I think that's going too far ^^;
